Fundraising Ideas
We’re pleased to announce that we have raised sufficient funds to buy the proposed site for the Weir Quay Community Watersports (Phase 1). This means that we hope to soon be ready to start raising funds for Phase 2 – making the site ready for use. When we are this stage we will put a call out to all potential fundraisers and we will include a more detailed list of list of suggestions and examples of fundraising activities. In the meantime, here are just a few ideas:
- Organise a fundraising gig (read about the successful Bere Ukes concert here)
- Hold a bric-a-brac, bring and buy or jumble sale
- Do a sponsored row, sail or other sporting activity
- Hold a clothes swap party, cheese and wine party or a coffee morning – just make sure you get people to pay to come along or to give you cash when they’re there – people enjoy giving money away when they’re having a good time!
